How to rotate every page in a PDF
If a scanned PDF opens sideways or upside down, rotate its pages and download a new copy with the corrected viewing orientation.
Open the Rotate PDF toolChoose the angle
The tool offers three clockwise choices. Use 90° when pages need a quarter-turn right, 180° when they are upside down, and 270° when they need a quarter-turn left. For a 90° left turn, choose 270° right. The selected angle is added to each page’s current rotation.
Steps
- Open Rotate PDF and choose a PDF from your device.
- Select 90°, 180°, or 270° in the Rotation Angle controls.
- Click “Rotate PDF.” The browser downloads a new file whose name starts with the chosen rotation angle.
- Open the downloaded copy and check the page direction before sharing it.
Current limit: This tool rotates every page in the PDF. It does not offer a per-page selection. For a document with mixed orientations, extract the affected pages, rotate that smaller PDF, and assemble the pages again in the order you need.
Does rotating change the original file?
No. The tool reads the selected file and creates a separate downloaded PDF. The original stays where it is on your device. The rotation code runs in your browser and does not upload the PDF to a pdPDF conversion server; the website itself still loads its normal assets over the internet.
Common questions
Will 90° right always make the page upright?
That depends on the page’s starting orientation. Try one angle, inspect the result, and use the original file to try another angle if needed.
Can I rotate just one page?
Not within this tool at present. It applies the selected angle to all pages in the file.
Can I rotate a password-protected PDF?
Some encrypted PDFs may fail to load. Use an authorized, unprotected copy when you need to change the page orientation.
